Axe of God
imageThe day we started working on this Reading Montréal site a huge wind hit this newly adopted city ours. A neighbour's flag pole, which proudly flew the Quebec flag, was bent over; recycling boxes were sent flying, and trees lost their footing.

Recent events in the Gulf of Mexico have us all talking about the 'power of nature' but it is astonishing to see it first hand. There is something quite shocking about seeing the supposedly stable... literally uprooted.

It's our hope that in the days and weeks ahead we can keep seeing this city - with all its astonshing places and buildings- in the same way that we saw everything that windy day: with a sense of awe, a good measure of respect, and a little bit of breath taken out of our lungs...
